This month's General Membership Meeting will be held on Thursday

We will meet at:

The Stanwood Chamber of Commerce has a long history of working together with the community to make Stanwood one of the finest towns in Western Washington. Originally a farming community of Scandinavian descendents, Stanwood has grown to become the fastest growing area in Snohomish County. The Chamber sponsors several community events including the Port Susan Snow Goose & Birding Festival, annual Golf Classic, Chamber Loose on the Lanes, the Man/Woman/Business Person of the Year Luncheon, and the Christmas Open House with free Santa phots at the Stanwood Historical Society. The Purpose of these events is to draw people and hopefully customers into our community. What is the Chamber?

The Stanwood Chamber of Commerce is an action organization designed to meet business needs. It is a voluntary organization of small and large businesses, professionals and interested individuals who join together to advance the interests of the community. It is an information bureau and a business resource tool.

The Chamber is run by its members through an elected Board of Directors who serve without pay. The Board determines policy and hires and needed staff. The variety of Chamber activities is virtually unlimited and changes to meet the needs of the business community. Committees, composed of Chamber members, are the driving force of the Chamber and they accomplish the Chamber's goals and objectives.

The Stanwood Chamber of Commerce is financed on a voluntary basis. Chamber membership is an investment in the present and the future of the Stanwood area. Any firm of individual sharing a common interest in community improvements is eligible for membership.

Stanwood Chamber of Commerce Mission Statement

  • To promote a positive business climate in the city of Stanwood by:
  • Supporting and initiating activities which will bring business to Stanwood and encourage local residents to buy as much as possible locally
  • Being informed regarding local government issues and after vote of members at a regular or special meeting, conveying interest of those issues to the Chamber.
  • Promoting beautification projects which will make us all proud of our community.
  • To inform members of available services, governmental regulations, social issues and management topics to assist them to take appropriate action to remain profitable contributing employers in the community.
